Anuj Sharma

A post graduate in Apparel Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), Anuj Sharma has later taught design in NID, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and Srishti School of Design, Bangalore.

The prestigious Charles Wallice India trust scholarship in 2002 to study Masters in High performance Sportswear Design from the University of Derby, UK was awarded to the designer.

Anuj has designed performance wear for various high profile companies in India and has also been involved in various projects in the area of development of indigenous crafts and training of crafts persons.

The designer was one of the five leading fashion designers from different Asian countries, who visited Japan at the invitation of the Japan Foundation in December 2006. The collections of T-Shirt being designed for the tour was inspired by the colours and random patterns of fallen leaves on the ground at Ryoanji Temple in Kyoto.

Anuj Sharma feels that the garden was a mirror of the culture of Japan and its people that reflects the different hues and adaptable nature of ever-smiling Japan. The butterfly signifies the happiness and purity that will continue to guide the country and its people to a newer cultural paradigm.
