Deepti Toor

An alumnus of the National Institute of Design, Deepti Toor has a strong artistic blend with the ability to creatively fuse different mediums into a piece of art. The strength lies in developing forms, styles, silhouettes and surfaces (print and textures) of different kinds and work on the lines of designers like Issey Miyake, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Kenzo..

She has won the "BEST FASHION ARTIST OF YEAR AWARD", Best Designer at 'CHAOS 05' and has also been a finalist for "FIESTA ITALIANA FASHION AWARDS", Special Jury appreciation for "Best women's Designer".

Deepti was one of the designers who showed at the GeNext show at LFW in April, while her collections were presented under the banner R&B Enterprises International Pvt Ltd. She calls "fashion as an Art form" as her philosophy.

Right from design specifications to production and manufacturing, everything has been taken care of by R&B, while Deepti has been the creative mind behind the collection, in association with the company’s design team.

The pret collection is inspired by Mughal miniature paintings that find reflection in the details, surface ornamentation and colours, while the look, still, is minimal and stark in its simplicity. The lines were clean and elegant and the collection was well crafted to create western wear with the right touches of Indian craft and detailing.
