Malini Ramani

Malini Ramani cannot be cast in a single mould. Even though she is best known for her fashion designing work, she has much more under here belt.

After gaining academic and industry knowledge on fashion merchandising from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Malini created waves with her ‘punk and princess” look within four years of her returning to her homeland.

The socialite loves to create a stir using her nightclubs or eye-catching designs. Known for her dramatic plunging necklines and sequenced embroideries Malini Ramani is what can rightfully be called the new love goddess of Indian fashion.

Malini was the first designer to open a store in the hippy-land of Goa, a place she identifies with in many ways. Her second store was in the capital city of Delhi and is frequented by many famous personalities and Bollywood stars who find her creations fresh and fancy. She designs for the liberated Indian woman and her aim is to decorate and celebrate feminism.

Recently involved in the infamous Manu Sharma vs. Jessica Lal murder case Malini Ramani featured in the news for all the wrong reasons. Nevertheless, as they say even bad publicity is good in the fashion industry.
