Pooja KapoorThe designer, before moving to UK to complete her MA in Design and Manufacture from the De Montfort University in Leicester has worked under the renowned Indian Couture designer, J.J.Valaya. Pooja won the first runners-up prize at 'The Femina Young Designers Contest '04'. The designer defines that the range which primary used Indian cotton Khadi fabrics in vibrant striped colours were designed for young women with an attitude of 'have it... flaunt it!!'. The designs are basically western but have an inherent Indian feel to them, bringing about a stunning combination of the Indian and the western points of view and beats off competition from across India to win first runner up prize in the 'Femina Young Designers Contest' in 2004. Pooja is originally from New Delhi, India, and came to Britain to study the MA Design and Manufacture course at De Monfort University, Leicester.
