Raghavendra Rathore

The Jodhpur based designer, Raghavendra Rathore best known for his trademark Bandgala Jackets knows only too well the value of 'Brand India' and is no stranger to the glamorous world of Seventh Avenue fashion.

His traditional upbringing and training of his craft at the Parsons School of Design in New York in 1992 has gained him experience with many top Manhattan labels including Donna Karen, Bill Blass and Oscar de la Renta.

The experience and the insight to create the right mix of aesthetics, craft and heritage has enabled him to create his own label 'Rathore' back in India in 1994 under the Rathore Jodhpur brand.

As a company, Rathore Jodhpur is absorbed in designing enticing products that are part of the larger vision of the brand. Home, interiors, products, uniforms and in sourcing design are some key areas of specialisation. The brand is driven by a holistic vision of luxury, inspired by the 'old world charm' of Rajasthan and that too with a clean and modern sensibility.

The idea is to leverage the Rathore brand to create a strong and sincere name in the design industry that people can trust and depend on for multi-level design solutions and implementation of the same.

The designer mixes old-fashioned workmanship with modern aplomb as he believes that fashion today has long ceased to be one theme, one mood, and one idea. Rathore offers a superb mix of textures, modern fabrics, slinging cuts and a vast colour palette that blinds the richness of his styles.

Rathore Uniform design division offers practical, superbly tailored and distinctly designed uniforms for the hospitality and other career apparel for any kind of sector. The department has designed uniforms for various requirements and wardrobes for corporate and private institutions across the globe.
