A specialist in illustrations, well structured garments and surface ornamentation,
Rebecca D'souza secured the 'Designer of the Year Award' for the year 1998-99 at Ahmedabad. Her styling mainly being Indo-western for India with more of western trends for her clientele abroad.
Rebecca was interested in fashion and design since she was 10 years old and has always wanted to learn the art of cutting a garment.
The designer has secured a job as a designer/ illustrator at the Design Portfolio Ltd, Oxford Street after studying professionally at London Centre for Fashion Studies. She has also gained experience with pattern cutting and garment construction by working with Samantha Shaw.
She has learned artistic illustrations, ornamentation and textile designing after completing short courses at NID on textile and screen printing and Indian traditional pattern cutting at NIFT (Gandhinagar, India).
Rebecca D'souza believes that modern women prefer to wear garments that fit well with comfort and style and retails structured garments and jackets made from Indian hand woven fabrics and supplies them in India and abroad.
