Shubhra Chaudhary

The designer from Bihar who target teenagers, Shubhra Chaudhary has done a one-year course in merchandising from National Institute of Fashion Technology (New Delhi) and a four-year course in fashion designing and information technology from National Institute of Fashion Technology (Hyderabad).

She further followed and pursued a masters in computer application from Indira Gandhi National Open University.

Shubhra, winning the Femina Young Designer Contest in Mumbai was awarded with free membership of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). The award made her dream possible of participating in the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

She sees Sabyasachi her role model, as he does the best fabric blend in the country and the way he made a mark in his first show at the fashion week was very inspiring, although she has participated in the International Artwear Competition in New Zealand.

The designer aims to plug the hole that she sees in the Indian fashion industry and targets teenagers who are are looking for well fitted, trendy clothes.
