The ready to wear clothing collection consists of simple and elegant separates such as skirts, tops, and pants in fine fabric with fine elegant embroidery. Soumitra is comfortable while blending the creative and the hardcore practical aspects of his craft and his modesty and innovativeness has won him many clients not only in India but around the World. The designer tailors his collections to suit international trends and sketches 'modern' embroidery for his karigaans. Today his label, Marg, is stocked at the Little India boutique and Surbhi, an exclusive showroom, both in Kolkata and has also stretched its wings further by becoming part of the Aditya Birla Nuvo's 'Linen Club'. Soumitra Mondal’s debut collection “Restless Spirits” was a well-tailored extremely stylish and wearable line, which will appeal to a cross section of the Indian as well as international buyers as it was inspired from the European immigrants of the 1930s and 40s.
