	Sucheta Merh One of the Kolkata's foremost designers, Sucheta Merh has developed a unique style through a mix of patchwork prints, embroidery and textures created with natural dyes and otherwise. She devotes her energies into the expressive field of reviving old crafts like Batik and tribal embroidery on saris and fabrics. The designer being an economics graduate is an artist by heart who won accolades and award for her work and has describes her long involvement with fashion as a romance with designing. Sucheta acquired an in-depth knowledge of chemicals and dyes both for printing and dyeing of fabrics following her inclination towards textiles and garments and further has started a print and natural dye unit only to create a range of unusual handicraft fabrics, which were styled into ensembles. The designer has developed a unique style of her own ushering an era naturalization and personalized imperfection through a mix of patchwork prints, embroidery and textures created with natural dyes and otherwise and prefers to measure her success in terms of client satisfaction and originalities of innovations. The designer evokes a sense of simplicity in her fabrics through the use of natural dyes, hand embroidery and textiles woven on loom and the style direction is toward creating a very formal informality. She prefers to start with greidge fabric and gradually develop them with surface ornamentation and texturization and then into ensembles and the result is a unique combination of color and design with contemporary styling and embroidery. The collections are mainly fusion prêt, using earthy fabrics in earthy colours, badla work with tie-n-dye, batik, greidge fabric and surface ornamentation and texturization and retails at Fflio, Ogaan, Elahe, Melange, Oorja, Origins, Designer Studio and Elan. Not to mention her fashion studio, Earthy Myths in Kolkata.
