The designer recognised as an ace 'revivalist', Vidhi Singhania has forayed into textiles and fashion after moving to Kotah (Rajasthan) in 1994 from Mumbai with love for handlooms and traditional textiles that further translated into research and constant experimentation.

The designer promotes Indian craft techniques like leheriya, block and bagh printing, batik and zardozi to enhance her lines and the Indian hand-woven textiles form the backbone of her work.

The classic, subtle, elegant, silhouettes, prêt fusion emphasising the weave of the designer. The
passion for fine Kotah sarees is evident from the exquisite work she has put in for the past decade to rejuvenate the art of weaving in this colourful Rajasthan city.

Vidhi Singhania make sarees, kurtis and western wear as well as bags and pouches with Kotah embroidery and zariwork and each season as the collection is a sell-out at the retail outlets in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahemdabad and Delhi.

Today, Kotah weaves are once again the chosen fashion statement of the rich and famous and the weavers are re-settled in their homes and are becoming richer, with access to money, education and a better lifestyle.

The fashion designer feels that fashion has a major impact on every sphere and it could be on your way of living, in terms of home décor, or presenting food. What you wear or the accessories you choose, fashion does rule our lifestyle as those people who are wedded to classicism, are inspired by fashion.
