MUMBAI: The collection presented by Allen Solly Woman for Spring/Summer 2008 at Lakme Fashion Week 2008 on 17th October 2007, with some really elegant and stylish creation was a refreshing look for the coming season.
The list of garments included everything that the 21st century woman on the move will want, to help her dress up at her sartorial best.
From white linen pleated dresses with double lapel jackets, to great looking casual wear; the look was well coordinated. Shirt dresses, jackets with epaulettes, party dresses, interesting formal waist coats with shawl collars and lots of glitter on them, trousers, capris, blouses, pencil skirts, pants, smart formal shirts and some cool evening dresses along with lots of knitwear completed the range.
The colours ranged from white and black to delicate shades of grey and charcoal. Some interesting pieces were the cropped one button blouse, knits with side drawstrings, fitted one button jacket, blouson jackets with discreet slit pockets, a summery striped elasticized will power knit dress, mini bloomers and a striking military dress in khaki followed by a railroad striped knitted mini.
The silhouettes were lean and fitted for everything including the smart pencil skirts.
Allen Solly Woman have given some amazing mix and match options for the coming season; that will allow the urban working woman or the stylish socialite to make a smart fashion statement wherever they go.
Lakme Fashion Week Spring Summer 2008 has been scheduled at the city based National Center of Performing Arts (NCPA) from October 13-17 2007.
